Interested in graduate training at the intersection of educational technology, learning analytics, and data science? The Epistemic Analytics lab, situated in the University of Wisconsin’s #1 ranked educational psychology program, is recruiting graduate students for the Fall 2019 cohort. Directed by Prof. David Williamson Shaffer, the Epistemic Analytics lab develops novel methods and statistical tools to improve the assessment of complex and collaborative thinking.
As a graduate student in the Epistemic Analytics lab, you will develop expertise in research design, statistics and statistical programming, and quantitative ethnography, and you will have opportunities to lead research projects, collaborate with scholars from around the world, present your work at national and international conferences, and publish first-author journal articles. Graduates of the lab have gone on to careers in both academia and industry as professors, researchers, data scientists, and learning engineers.

While funding is not guaranteed for all applicants, current and past graduate students in the Epistemic Analytics lab have all received a tuition waiver and stipend throughout their degree program.
